It was developed for wary carp in heavily fished waters and for varied carp rigs with careful bait presentation. Its long, straight point and inward-turned eye support hooking, making that fishing situation the intended use rather than lure-hook replacement.
The eye is turned inward by 20° to help the hook turn and take hold in the fish's mouth. Together with the sharp, long, straight point, it supports hooking when cautious fish take the bait, without guaranteeing a hook-up on every take.
These variants are #2, #4, #6, #8, #10 and #12, from largest to smallest. Each pack contains 10 hooks of one size with the same long-shank pattern and inward-turned eye, so select the hook size required for your carp rig.

The Korda Longshank X is a carp hook developed for wary fish in heavily fished waters. The supplier also calls it Hybrid Longshank X. Its long, straight point is designed to improve hooking, while the eye, turned inward by 20°, helps the hook turn and take hold in the fish's mouth. This pattern is intended for varied carp rigs where careful bait presentation matters.
An extra-long shank defines the pattern. The sharp, long, straight point and inward-turned eye support its hooking action, particularly when fishing for cautious carp under high angling pressure. The hook combines low weight with strength.
The variants in this family are #2, #4, #6, #8, #10 and #12, from the largest to the smallest hook size. Size is the difference to compare when choosing for your carp rig. All six share the long-shank design, straight point and 20° inward-turned eye. Each pack contains 10 hooks of the selected size.
