Korda Hybrid Stiff: adaptable carp hooklink presentations

Korda Hybrid Stiff is tough, stiff, coated braided hooklink material for carp fishing, particularly on firm spots. Its stiff, clear coating helps it adapt to a variety of lakebed conditions, while the option to strip the coating allows different bait presentations.

Bottom baits and pop-ups

The coating can be stripped from the braid to prepare a range of bottom-bait and pop-up presentations. This gives you scope to adapt the hooklink when tying your rig, rather than being limited to a fully coated presentation.

Colour choice and supplied length

Choose between Weedy Green and Gravel Brown. Both versions provide 15 m of hooklink material with a supplier-rated breaking strain of 20 lb (approximately 9.07 kg). Colour is the only stated difference, so the length, strength and presentation options remain the same whichever version you choose. The supplied item is hooklink material for tying rigs, not a ready-tied rig.

Frequently asked

What fishing situations is Hybrid Stiff intended for?

It is carp hooklink material particularly suited to firm spots. The tough, stiff braid has a stiff, clear coating that supports use across different lakebed conditions, making it an option for tying carp rigs in those situations.

Can I use it for both bottom baits and pop-ups?

Yes. The coating can be stripped from the braid to enable a range of bottom-bait and pop-up presentations. You can therefore adapt the material while tying the chosen rig rather than using only a fully coated hooklink.

How do the two versions differ, and what is supplied?

The stated difference is colour: Weedy Green or Gravel Brown. Each version contains 15 m of hooklink material rated at 20 lb (approximately 9.07 kg), so you can choose the colour without changing the stated length or strength. It is material for tying rigs, not a ready-tied rig.
