The Kinetic Sabiki Octopus L is a pre-tied sea rig with silicone squid lures for mackerel, cod and whiting. Three chemically sharpened nickel hooks give you three lure presentations on one nylon monofilament rig without tying individual hooklinks. It is also suitable for coalfish and haddock, with use from boats and coastal fishing locations.
Each rig is 150 cm long and carries three #6/0 hooks on 0.80 mm monofilament. The silicone squid provide the artificial bait presentation, so the rig can be fished without natural bait. Fish strips or prawns can also be added to the hooks when fishing for cod or haddock.
Connect the rig to your main line and fish it above a pirk or bottom lead. This allows use when pirking, drifting or bottom fishing, including the medium to greater depths typical of boat fishing for cod and coalfish. No breaking strain or specific depth limit is supplied.
Choose from BLUE/RED, PINK/GLOW and RED/GLOW. BLUE/RED combines two contrasting colours, while PINK/GLOW and RED/GLOW offer a choice of base colour with a glow designation. All three versions share the same hook size, hook count, length and line diameter. The difference is colour, not rig size or strength.
Each pack contains one assembled rig with three squid-equipped hooks. Before reuse, check the monofilament for abrasion and the hooks for bending or loss of sharpness, particularly after playing fish. Replace a damaged rig rather than reusing worn line or hooks.
