No. It is a sinking stickbait intended mainly for use just beneath the surface film. It sinks horizontally with a shimmy during pauses, so choose it for a subsurface presentation rather than a lure that remains floating on top.
Twitch it to produce a side-to-side zigzag, then pause to let it sink horizontally. Its weight helps preserve its swimming action in stronger current, making this retrieve suitable for near-surface fishing in flowing water too.
The heavy, compact body is designed for distance casting. This lets you reach the spot while staying farther away, which is useful when approaching closely could alert wary predators.
The Stream Ripper is intended for bass, trout, asp, perch and pike. All twelve colours have the stated 7.5 cm length and 10.5 g lure weight, so choose between the named finishes without changing lure size or weight.

The Illex Stream Ripper is a compact, heavy, sinking stickbait for fishing just beneath the surface film. Its design supports long casts, letting you stay farther from the spot and reduce the risk of alerting wary predators. The 7.5 cm lure weighs 10.5 g and is intended for bass, trout, asp, perch and pike.
Short twitches send the lure zigzagging from side to side. During a pause it holds a horizontal attitude as it sinks with a shimmy, so the pause is part of the presentation rather than a motionless stop. The listed action combines Walking the Dog with rolling. This is a sinking lure, not a floating walker that stays on top during pauses.
Its weight helps it retain its swimming action in stronger current. Fish it preferentially just under the surface film when you want a near-surface presentation while keeping your distance from the fish.
