It is designed for Wacky fishing with softbaits for perch, zander and other predators. The hook is mounted through the lure's middle, and its wide gap gives the long, sharp point room to engage in this position.
Yes. The supplier also lists conventional jigging and stop-and-go bottom retrieves with softbaits on lead heads, including creature baits and soft plastic jigs. These are further stated uses, but no dimensions or compatibility details for particular lead heads are given.
The options are #2, #1, #1/0, #2/0 and #3/0, from smallest to largest. All are black and come in packs of six hooks of one size. Choose by the proportions of your softbait, as the supplier gives no specific lure-length guide for each size.

The Gamakatsu Wacky 318 is a black single hook for active softbait fishing for perch, zander and other predators. Its wide gap gives the point room to engage when the hook is mounted through the middle of the softbait for a Wacky presentation. The long, sharp point complements this design.
The supplier lists creature baits and soft plastic jigs as suitable lure types. Beyond the Wacky method, it also describes these hooks for conventional jigging and stop-and-go bottom retrieves with softbaits on lead heads. This gives anglers further uses for the hook beyond a centrally hooked Wacky presentation.
Choose from #2, #1, #1/0, #2/0 and #3/0. Size is the difference between these variants, while the black colour, wide gap and long, sharp point are shared. #2 is the smallest option in this family and #3/0 the largest, so match the hook to the softbait's proportions. No specific lure-length recommendations are supplied. Every pack contains six hooks in the selected size.
