They are intended for soft shads, soft jigs and other softbaits for perch, zander and pike. The supplier lists jigging and slow bottom retrieves with lead heads, plus drop-shot fishing. You receive loose hooks, so choose the other components for the presentation you want to fish.
Yes. Thread the hook through the softbait from below so the point rests against its back. This reduces weed pickup while retrieving, and a bite pushes the point upwards so it can take hold. The effect depends on this rigging, not on leaving the point exposed.
Sizes #4, #2, #1, #1/0 and #2/0 contain five hooks each. Sizes #3/0, #4/0 and #5/0 contain four each. All are red Offset EWG hooks. Select the size that fits your softbait and check the quantity when planning how many packs you need, as no matching lure lengths are specified.

Gamakatsu Offset EWG hooks are red wide-gap offset hooks for spinning with soft shads, soft jigs and other softbaits for perch, zander and pike. Rigging the point against the lure's back reduces weed pickup, helping you fish actively in weedy water.
Pass the hook through the softbait from below so the point rests on its back. When a fish bites, the point is pushed upwards and can take hold in its mouth. The hooks are very sharp and strong, combining a sharp point for penetration with strength for fishing predators.
The supplier lists jigging and slow bottom retrieves with lead heads, as well as drop-shot fishing. These are loose hooks, not complete rigs or jig heads, so the pack supplies the hooks for your chosen softbait setup.
All versions share the Offset EWG pattern and red colour. Sizes #4, #2, #1, #1/0 and #2/0 come in packs of five. Sizes #3/0, #4/0 and #5/0 come in packs of four. Choose the hook size to suit the softbait you intend to rig, keeping the point positioned against its back. The supplier does not specify corresponding lure lengths, so size selection depends on the actual bait rather than a stated length guide.
