They suit large-fish angling in both freshwater and saltwater. The supplier names baitfish and pellets for catfish, plus octopus-style teasers on pirking rigs for cod and other large sea fish. Use them as hook components for those presentations, rather than as complete rigs.
The strongly inward-curved point helps the hook turn into the fish's mouth almost by itself during a bite. Together with the wide gape, this supports effective hooking, so the circle pattern is a key difference when choosing a hook for your rig.
Sizes #1 and #2 come in packs of 8, while #4, #6 and #8 come in packs of 10. Sizes #1/0, #2/0, #4/0, #6/0 and #8/0 contain 6 hooks each. Choose your hook size for the bait and rig, then use its stated quantity when planning how many packs you need.

The Gamakatsu Octopus Circle Hook is a black single circle hook for large-fish angling in freshwater and saltwater. Its wide gape and sharply inward-curved point help the point turn into the fish's mouth almost by itself during a bite. The sharp point and strong construction suit demanding fights with large cod and catfish.
At sea, these hooks can be used with teasers, including octopus imitations, on pirking rigs for cod and other large sea fish. In freshwater, they suit catfish fishing with baitfish and pellets. The same hook pattern therefore covers both sea-rig building and freshwater bait presentations.
The range includes sizes #1, #2, #4, #6, #8, #1/0, #2/0, #4/0, #6/0 and #8/0. Select the size to suit your bait and rig, then check the pack quantity. Sizes #1 and #2 contain 8 hooks each, while #4, #6 and #8 contain 10 hooks each. Sizes #1/0, #2/0, #4/0, #6/0 and #8/0 contain 6 hooks each. All versions are black and share the wide-gape circle pattern. The supplied items are hooks, not complete rigs.
