They suit soft plastic shads, soft plastic jigs and other softbaits for perch, zander and pike. The supplier lists jigging and lift-and-drop retrieves with lead heads, plus drop shot fishing. The pack supplies loose hooks, so the lure and other rig components must be provided separately.
Yes. Thread the hook through the softbait from underneath with the point resting on its back. This reduces plant debris catching on the point, while a bite pushes the point upwards so it can take hold. The benefit depends on rigging the softbait this way, not on leaving the point exposed.
Size 2/0 comes with six hooks, sizes 3/0, 4/0 and 5/0 with five each, and size 6/0 with three. Match the hook size to your softbait for correct point placement, then check the pack count if you need spares. The supplier gives no lure-length range for any size.
Yes. The supplier explicitly describes the very sharp, strong hooks as suitable for active fishing for large pike, as well as perch and zander. Choose the size to fit the softbait, since no size-specific species limits or strength ratings are supplied.

The Gamakatsu EWG SL is a black offset hook for active lure fishing with softbaits for perch, zander and pike. Its wide-gap design allows the point to rest on the back of the softbait, reducing weed pickup when fishing through vegetation.
Thread the hook through the softbait from underneath so the point lies on its back. During a bite, the point is pushed upwards and can take hold in the fish's mouth. This makes the rig useful where an exposed point would repeatedly collect plant debris.
The hooks suit soft plastic shads, soft plastic jigs and other softbaits. The supplier lists jigging and lift-and-drop retrieves with lead heads, as well as drop shot fishing. These are loose offset hooks, not complete weighted rigs.
The very sharp point helps the hook take hold when a fish bites. The strong construction is also intended for active fishing for large pike, rather than restricting the hook to perch and zander. All sizes share the black colour and offset wide-gap pattern.
The available sizes are 2/0, 3/0, 4/0, 5/0 and 6/0. Match the hook to your softbait so the point can sit correctly on its back. No lure-length recommendations are supplied for individual sizes.
Size 2/0 contains six hooks. Sizes 3/0, 4/0 and 5/0 each contain five hooks, while size 6/0 contains three. Moving to a larger size therefore does not always retain the same number of spare hooks. The pack contains offset hooks only.
