The Walker Schlepppose is specifically designed for trolling at trout ponds and lakes. Its line channel allows you to thread it directly onto your main line, making rigging quick and easy. Rigging is simple: thread the float onto your main line via the line channel, slide a rubber bead over the knot as protection, then tie on a swivel. Attach a 2-meter trout leader to the swivel and secure split shot to the leader to achieve your desired fishing depth. This setup keeps the bait suspended at the right level while trolling.
Choose your buoyancy rating based on the weight of your bait package and leader setup. Lighter floats (6g–8g) work well with small baits and light tackle, ideal for shallow areas. Medium floats (10g–12g) suit standard trout fishing with moderate baits. Heavier floats (15g–20g) handle larger baits, longer leaders, and wind resistance, and help cast greater distances. Match the float rating to your bait weight plus leader weight for balanced, natural presentation.
