Yes. Its slow descent helps prevent it from burying itself in soft sediment, and it settles upright in a stable position. This supports a buoyant bait presentation rather than allowing the weight to disappear into the mud.
No, the line runs freely through the Bodentaster's eye. In a running bottom rig, the trout can take line without having to pull the weight along, allowing the buoyant bait to be fished with a free-running line.
The available weights are 6, 8, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 g. Each pack contains one Bodentaster in the selected weight, not an assortment or a complete rig. All versions share the stated slow descent and upright stance, so select by the weight required for your rig.

The FTM Trout Driver Bodentaster is a bottom weight for static trout fishing in lakes and stocked ponds. It replaces a conventional sinker in bottom rigs with buoyant baits. Its slow descent helps prevent it from burying itself in soft or muddy lake beds, keeping the rig working above the sediment.
The Bodentaster settles upright on the bottom and stands stably, supporting the presentation of a buoyant trout bait. This setup is particularly suited to static fishing in the colder months, as highlighted by the supplier.
The line runs freely through the Bodentaster's eye, so a trout taking the bait does not have to pull against the weight. This makes it suitable for running bottom rigs with a bait that rises off the lake bed.
Choose from 6, 8, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 g. Weight is the only stated difference between these versions, with the same slow-sinking, upright presentation across the family. Select the weight to suit your planned rig. Each pack contains one Bodentaster in the selected weight, not a complete rig.
