They are intended for trout rigs on lakes and trout ponds, including static fishing with a casting bubble and trout dough or waxworms. The pilot provides fine bite indication in that setup, so you receive an indicator rather than a complete ready-made rig.
Silicone tubing secures the removable central plastic stem to the main line or trout hooklength. The pilot ball remains movable, allowing you to change fishing depth or hooklength length on the rig.
The stated difference is diameter: 10, 12, 14, 16 or 18 mm. All versions are red, movable and reusable with the same removable fixing stem. No buoyancy ratings are supplied, so choose the physical diameter without assuming a specified bait or weight capacity.
Yes. The supplier describes the pilot as reusable and its red colour as visible even at long distances. It can therefore be used again and watched from farther away, although no maximum viewing distance is specified.
Each pack contains one pilot float in the selected diameter. Select the 10, 12, 14, 16 or 18 mm version when ordering, rather than expecting an assortment of sizes.

These red pilot floats are intended for trout rigs on lakes and trout ponds. They provide fine bite indication without the trout feeling resistance after taking the bait. Their red colour remains visible even at long distances, helping you watch the rig from the bank.
A removable plastic stem sits in the centre of the pilot ball. Silicone tubing secures the stem to the main line or trout hooklength. The float can then be moved along the line to vary fishing depth or hooklength length rather than keeping the rig fixed at one setting. The pilot floats can be reused.
The supplier describes using these pilot floats together with casting bubbles for static trout fishing with trout dough or waxworms. The pilot serves as the fine bite indicator in this setup, rather than being a complete rig.
Choose from 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 mm diameters. All five versions share the red colour, removable fixing stem and adjustable attachment. Diameter is the stated difference, and no buoyancy ratings are supplied, so the sizes cannot be compared by supported bait or weight capacity. Each pack contains one pilot float in the selected diameter.
