FTM Spoon Omura Curl - Forellenspoon
incl. VAT, excl.
The FTM Spoon Omura Curl is a purpose-built trout spoon whose uniquely twisted body generates powerful pressure waves and turbulence — even at the slowest retrieves.
Unlike a conventional flat spoon, the Omura Curl's helically twisted body works like a classic dough propeller: it displaces water aggressively on every rotation, sending out strong pressure waves and swirling currents that trout detect through their lateral line from a distance. Slow-rolling through still water or holding in current both produce consistent, reliable action.
As the lure rotates, the finish catches light from constantly changing angles, creating a dynamic colour shift that adds a strong visual trigger on top of the mechanical vibration. This combination of tactile and visual stimulation makes the Omura Curl effective even on passive fish that have seen plenty of other lures.
The Omura Curl is available in three weights and a wide range of proven colour patterns. Most variants include a double swivel (Doppelwirbel) that prevents line twist during the spoon's continuous rotation — worth prioritising when fishing with monofilament or fluorocarbon on open water.
Variants with Doppelwirbel — recommended for all standard trout fishing situations; the swivel protects against line twist caused by the lure's spinning action
Variants without Doppelwirbel — suitable where a clip or separate swivel is used in the leader setup
Weight selection — lighter versions for shallow, clear water and slow presentations; heavier versions for deeper water, stronger current, or longer casts
