The FTM Spoon Omura Curl is a purpose-built trout spoon with a twisted body that generates powerful pressure waves and turbulence even at the slowest retrieve speeds — keeping trout engaged when standard lures fall flat.
Unlike a flat spoon, the Omura Curl's signature twisted body acts much like a classic dough propeller, pushing strong pressure waves and turbulence through the water column at minimal retrieve speed. This means you can fish it ultra-slow in cold conditions or pressured waters without sacrificing action.
As the lure rotates, it produces a constantly changing colour play that adds an optical trigger on top of the lateral-line stimulation. The combination of movement, flash, and water displacement makes this spoon effective even on passive or inactive trout.
The FTM Spoon Omura Curl is available in multiple weight classes and a wide range of colours. Select your variant based on water depth, current, and the mood of the fish:
Variants with Doppelwirbel (double swivel): Effectively prevent line twist during extended sessions — ideal for repeated casts with mono or fluorocarbon. Covers the majority of trout spoon fishing situations.
Variants without Doppelwirbel: Suitable where a direct, uninterrupted connection to the lure is preferred, or when used with an external snap/swivel system.
Lighter weights: Best for shallow stillwaters, slow currents, and surface-near presentations targeting cautious fish.
Heavier weights: Better suited to deeper pools, faster currents, and longer casting distances.
