The Green version has a plain finish, while Frontier II - Camo has a camouflage finish. Both have the same stated 250 cm width, 130 cm height, 18 kg weight and equipment, so choose by appearance rather than space or transport size.
The bivvy includes the Vapour Peak, Zip-in Groundsheet, front infill panel with solid, clear and camo mosquito-mesh door options, Heavy Duty Storm Pole and double-zipped carry bag. The mesh front, Deluxe Wrap and Deluxe Extension are optional purchases, not part of this standard equipment.
Yes. All four all-weather vents are accessible from inside and have camo mosquito mesh plus pegging options to maintain airflow in rain. Mesh panels beside the widened front door provide further ventilation options, so you can adjust airflow without leaving the shelter.
The Deluxe Wrap extends coverage by 60 cm and converts the bivvy into a two-person shelter with space for two bedchairs. The Deluxe Extension instead adds 1.5 m at the front with full-bivvy coverage for twin-skin insulation and reduced condensation. Choose the accessory according to the supported configuration you need.
No. The supplier offers the Inner Mesh Shield only for Frontier II X and XL. These are standard Frontier II variants, so do not select the X or XL inner shield for them.
Both variants weigh 18 kg and fold to 22 x 22 x 145 cm, so allow transport space for a 145 cm-long bag. Secure every pegging point and storm cord. The supplier prohibits use in storms, electrical thunderstorms and under trees, and warns against staying inside in extreme weather or after damage. Keep stoves, flames and flammable materials outside.

The Fox Frontier II is a carp fishing bivvy for freshwater bankside sessions. Its VenTec cover combines 100% Polyester with a blackout laminate lining and a 20,000 mm hydrostatic head for rain protection and reduced light inside. The lightweight aluminium frame has a high, flat back to make more of the usable space and headroom. Both supplied variants are 250 cm wide, 130 cm high and weigh 18 kg.
Choose the Green version for a plain finish or Frontier II - Camo for a camouflage finish. These variants share the same stated weight, width, height, folded dimensions and equipment, so finish is the supported difference rather than space or transport size. These are the standard Frontier II size, not the Frontier II X or Frontier II XL.
The ETS BOSS (Easy Tension System) uses a geared mechanism to prevent the frame collapsing during setup. Spring-loaded, keyed elbow joints with ergonomic grips help position the frame, while the refined release trigger on the ETS block simplifies breakdown. The supplied Heavy Duty Storm Pole has a quick-release cam system for adjustment.
The widened front door improves access and visibility. The solid front infill panel offers solid, clear and camo mosquito-mesh door options, with mesh panels on both sides of the door. Four all-weather vents can be operated from inside. Their camo mosquito mesh and pegging options allow airflow to continue during rain without needing to leave the shelter to adjust them.
The Zip-in Groundsheet attaches by zip and has a dedicated door entry flap. Four internal mesh pockets, a central hanging hook and two extra hooks by the door keep small items organised and accessible during a session.
The Vapour Peak, Zip-in Groundsheet, front infill panel and Heavy Duty Storm Pole are supplied. A carry bag with two zips is also included. Storm-cord eyelets are provided, with the cords stored in the peg bag. Folded dimensions are 22 x 22 x 145 cm, so allow for a 145 cm-long load when planning transport.
The optional Camo Mozzy Mesh Front Panel has a letterbox-style door. The Deluxe Wrap extends coverage by 60 cm and accommodates two bedchairs, converting the bivvy into a two-person shelter. It has aligned vents, storm-pole points and Velcro plus D-Loop attachment. This two-person configuration requires the optional wrap, it is not a stated capacity of the bare bivvy.
The optional Deluxe Extension adds 1.5 m at the front and covers the full bivvy to provide twin-skin insulation and reduce condensation. Four removable rear panels allow this extension to be used as a cap when needed. The Inner Mesh Shield is only offered for Frontier II X and XL, not these standard Frontier II variants.
Secure all pegging points and storm cords. Do not use the bivvy in storms, during electrical thunderstorms or under trees because of collapse, falling-debris and lightning risks. Do not remain inside during extreme weather or after physical damage. Keep open flames, stoves and flammable materials out of the bivvy. Clean only with products intended for breathable tents or bivvies with PVC doors, and apply a breathable impregnation spray annually to help prevent material ageing.
