The Fox Edges Wide Gape Beaked X is an extra-strong single carp hook for tying carp rigs. It is the stronger version of the Edges Wide Gape Beaked pattern, designed for extreme hook-and-hold fishing with strong lines and stiff rods, where large carp must be kept from reaching obstacles. Its forged XC80 Vanadium steel construction combines high strength with low weight.
The wide-gape pattern has a needle-sharp beaked point and uses Arma Point technology. The eye turns inwards by 10°. These are micro-barbed hooks, not barbless hooks, so check the venue's hook rules before choosing them. The non-reflective PTFE coating keeps the surface from reflecting light.
Sizes #1, #2 and #4 are available, with 10 loose hooks of the chosen size per pack. #1 is the largest option, #2 is intermediate and #4 is the smallest.
