Black Cat S-Line — Reliable Braided Main Line for Catfish Angling

The Black Cat S-Line is an 8-strand, round-braided main line built for modern catfish (Wels) fishing. Tested for 12 months under the harshest conditions by Stefan Seuß, it earned the reputation of being dependable when fighting record fish.

Construction

Eight strands are tightly round-braided so the line absorbs almost no water. The compact weave gives the S-Line a smooth surface and very high abrasion resistance — useful around snags, stones and hard catfish mouths.

Performance

High breaking strains combined with the tight braid make the S-Line well suited to long casts when spinning and to weightless, long-range tensioning when buoy fishing or using underwater float rigs. The line works equally well for active vertical and spinning approaches and for passive bait presentations.

Visibility

The yellow colour stays easy to track at night and in poor light, whether under a head-torch or when watching the line in rough water.

Diameters, Lengths and Strains

Available from 0.38 mm / 40 kg up to 0.55 mm / 70 kg, with spool lengths from 180 m single sessions to 3000 m bulk spools for re-spooling several reels at once.
