It is designed for catfish fishing with baitfish, especially deadbait and multi-hook rigs. It also suits underwater float rigs, buoy rigs and vertical baitfish systems, so it can be used in both active and static bait presentations.
The spears are inserted beneath the skin on the side of the baitfish. They hold the hook against the bait while leaving its sharp point standing clear, allowing a less conspicuous single hook to replace a large treble in the bait presentation.
Each pack contains five hooks in either 1/0, 2/0 or 3/0. Size 1/0 is the smallest, 2/0 the intermediate and 3/0 the largest option. All share the rear spears and DG Coating, so choose the required hook size without changing the attachment method.
DG Coating provides a much smoother surface than Teflon® and, according to the supplier, four times higher corrosion resistance than conventional coatings. It combines a smooth hook surface with increased corrosion resistance, but the hooks still require safe handling and storage.

The Black Cat Ghost Gripper Hook DG is a strong, sharply offset single hook for active and static catfish fishing with baitfish.
