It is designed specifically for freshwater catfish, with slow near-surface trolling, jigging over structure and fishing along current edges among the stated uses. Reservoirs, large rivers and deep freshwater sections are suitable settings, so the same lure can cover these different presentations.
No, the pack contains one unrigged lure, measuring 18 cm and weighing 36 g before rigging. Treble-hook and tandem-hook catfish setups are supported options, so you need to provide the hook rig separately rather than expecting a ready-to-fish lure.
Yes, openings in the belly and tail are made to accept glass rattles without modifying the lure body. Rattles are not included, so buy them separately if you want to add sound to the pressure waves and water disturbance produced by the paddle tail and flank bumps.
Only the colour differs in the supplied specifications. All three are 18 cm long and weigh 36 g unrigged, with the same paddle tail, flank bumps and rattle openings. Choose your preferred colour without changing lure size or rigging options, each pack contains one selected colour.

The Black Cat Big Hit Shad is a soft plastic lure developed specifically for freshwater catfish fishing. Its paddle tail creates pressure waves, while raised bumps on the flanks add water disturbance. This combination provides a pronounced vibration signal, including during slow retrieves in murky water or when fish are less active. Black Cat's experts developed and tested the design on the water.
The 18 cm shad can be slowly trolled near the surface, jigged over underwater structure or worked along current edges. Its stated applications include reservoirs, large rivers and deep sections of freshwater. The paddle tail and flank bumps provide water movement during the retrieve, so attraction is not limited to the lure's visual appearance.
Each lure weighs 36 g unrigged and is suitable for catfish setups with a treble hook or tandem hooks. These are rigging options, not supplied equipment. Built-in openings in the belly and tail accept glass rattles, allowing an acoustic stimulus to be added without modifying the body. Glass rattles are sold separately.
Choose from Special Prey, Shock Perch and Red Head. All three variants have the same 18 cm length, 36 g unrigged weight, paddle tail, flank bumps and rattle openings. Colour is the distinguishing specification, with no separate colour-specific technique or depth stated. Each pack contains one unrigged soft plastic lure in the selected colour, not a three-colour assortment.
