It supports live bait, dead natural bait and pieces of fish or squid. You can therefore choose your natural-bait presentation first, then select the hook size to suit the bait and rig.
It is intended for heavy rigs and heavy lines when targeting large predators, with tuna, amberjack, halibut and catfish explicitly named by the supplier. Its strong construction suits these demanding natural-bait setups, so choose the size to match your bait and rig.
Sizes #1 and #1/0 contain 7 hooks each, #2/0 and #3/0 contain 6 each, #4/0 to #6/0 contain 5 each, #8/0 contains 4 and #10/0 contains 3. Select the size for your bait and rig, then check the quantity to plan your supply of spare hooks. There are no supplier recommendations assigning individual sizes to particular species.
The SS coating reduces resistance during penetration. This aids penetration when setting the hook, a useful feature in the heavy natural-bait fishing for which this model is intended.

The BKK LIVE BAITER-SS is a single hook for heavy rigs targeting large predators such as tuna, amberjack, halibut and catfish. Its SS coating reduces resistance during penetration, while the strong construction suits heavy lines and demanding bait fishing.
The hook is suitable for live bait, dead natural bait and pieces of fish or squid. The supplier also describes secure hold in the fish's mouth as a feature of the model.
The range differs in hook size and the number of hooks supplied. Size #1 and #1/0 packs contain 7 hooks each, #2/0 and #3/0 contain 6 each, and #4/0, #5/0 and #6/0 contain 5 each. Size #8/0 contains 4 hooks, while #10/0 contains 3.
Choose the hook size to suit your bait and rig. Larger sizes come with fewer hooks per pack, so check both size and quantity when buying spares. The supplier does not give separate target-species recommendations for individual sizes.
