It is intended for freshwater trout ponds and works with common trout-pond softbait rigs, including Tremarella, Sbirolino and single-hook presentations. This lets you use the same bait family with these different pond-fishing setups.
The 3 cm version contains 12 baits, the 5 cm version 10 and the 7 cm version 8. All use the same ribbed design and PowerBait formula, so choose the presentation size you want and allow for fewer baits per pack as length increases.
Every version is floating. That describes the bait itself, not a fixed running depth for the complete setup, so consider its buoyancy together with your chosen trout-pond rig rather than treating it as a depth-rated lure.
The ribs increase the surface area available to release the PowerBait flavour formula. Alongside the bait's movement, water displacement and vibration, flavour provides another attraction cue, including during gentle presentations with little movement.
Trout Pellet is a colour option of the same floating softbait worm with PowerBait flavour. It is available in all three lengths with the same bait counts as the other colours, so select it by colour without changing the underlying bait formula.

The Berkley PowerBait Power Naiad is a floating softbait worm for freshwater trout-pond fishing. Its ribbed body creates a large surface area for releasing the PowerBait flavour formula, combining flavour with movement, water displacement and vibration to attract trout. The ribs support flavour dispersion around the bait, adding an attraction cue alongside its movement.
The body produces natural, prey-like movement underwater. The PowerBait attractant is released even with slight movement, making flavour part of the presentation when the bait is worked gently. The Naiad fits the usual softbait rigs used at trout ponds, including Tremarella, Sbirolino and single-hook presentations. All versions are floating and contain no lead. Floating describes the bait's buoyancy, not a fixed fishing depth for the complete rig.
Three lengths let you change the size of the bait while retaining the same formula and ribbed design. The 3 cm version is the smallest presentation and contains 12 baits. At 5 cm, the pack contains 10 baits. The 7 cm version offers the largest body and contains 8 baits. Choose by the bait size you want to present and account for the lower bait count in the longer versions.
Every length is available in Trout Pellet, Salmon Egg Red/Black, Milky White, Black/Sunshine Yellow, Fluorescent Orange/Sunshine Yellow, Spring Green/White, Spring Green/Sunshine Yellow and Pink/White. You can change colour without changing length or pack count. Trout Pellet is a colour designation, not a different bait type or flavour. The Trout Pellet and Salmon Egg Red/Black versions are supplied in jars.
