Berkley DEX x8 PE is an eight-carrier polyethylene (PE) braided fishing line for technical finesse presentations and long casts. Its fine weaving process and IZANAS fibres produce a soft, quiet line with very high line and knot strength. It is intended for experienced anglers targeting sea bass, perch, zander and black bass, with trout also named among its finesse applications.
The soft weave runs quietly through the rod rings, helping when repeatedly casting and working delicate presentations. The smooth, round structure supports controlled lure handling. The 150 m versions are also described for spinning, jigging and drop shot fishing, with low stretch to help transmit lure contact over distance and a weave that retains its shape through repeated use. High knot strength is useful during the fight, but the stated breaking strain still varies with diameter.
