Designed by sea angling specialist Rainer Korn, this rigged sandeel softbait pairs a bullethead jig with a slim paddle-tail body built for saltwater predators. Whether you're working a drift beneath the boat or burning it through mid-water, the Bullet Eel covers both techniques in one lure.
The bullet-shaped jig head is the key to this lure's flexibility. Its profile cuts cleanly through the water column for vertical fishing directly below the boat, and it holds its depth efficiently during fast retrieves — a setup that works particularly well when targeting coalfish (saithe) and other pelagic species. The slim body vibrates intensely at speed, triggering reaction strikes even from fish that have seen plenty of lures.
The semi-large paddle tail generates strong vibration even at low line tension, but the real advantage is the slender overall body shape — predators inhale it cleanly, reducing short strikes. The rig includes a very sturdy single hook, and a dedicated third eyelet on the underside of the head allows you to add a stinger hook or a lock spinner blade for extra attraction or to catch fish that are nipping at the tail.
