The smaller #8 suits a lure needing a smaller hook. With the same lure and conditions, lighter weights slow the descent and heavier weights sink faster. Colour can be selected independently of size and weight.
A pack contains five jig hooks, all in the selected size, weight and colour. It is not a mixed assortment or a set of complete softbait lures, so select your preferred version and mount your softbaits on the hooks.

Balzer Trout Collector jig heads combine very sharp hooks with tungsten beads for ultralight trout fishing with softbaits. The large hook eye allows the jig hook to move freely even when attached to a snap, keeping the connection mobile during lure presentation.
The wide hook gape lets the point stand well clear of the softbait. Together with the sharp point, this supports effective hooking when a trout takes the lure. Choose the hook size to suit the softbait so the point remains exposed.
The range combines hook sizes #6 and #8 with weights of 0.21 g, 0.45 g, 0.73 g and 1.30 g. Size #8 is the smaller hook option, while #6 suits a softbait that needs a larger hook. Select the hook size for the lure first, then the weight for its presentation. With the same lure and conditions, a lighter weight slows the descent, while a heavier weight brings the lure down faster. All four weights are available in both hook sizes.
Each size and weight comes in Goldfarben (gold-coloured), Silberfarben (silver-coloured) and Rainbow. These finishes let you choose the visible colour of the weighted hook without changing its size or weight.
