The Balzer Shirasu Rubber Fish System with Screw Jighead is engineered for spinning and trolling pike on soft baits. The screw head twists into the lure body like a weighted jig, while stainless steel spikes fix triple hooks beneath — creating a freeswinging rig that maximizes hook penetration on strike. When a pike takes, the spikes release from the bait, leaving only the hooks in the mouth and extending your soft lure's life.
Two screw head sizes match your lure length: the 9 cm system suits soft baits 14–20 cm, while the 14 cm version handles baits 21–30 cm. The threaded spiral secures firmly to the lure head, and hardened steel spikes lodge in the belly.
Simply twist the screw head into your rubber fish, position the triple hooks on the belly spikes, and cast. Works equally well for active spinning in weeds and structure, or steady trolling for suspended pike. The free-swinging design triggers bites on both the fall and retrieve.
