It is intended for saltwater, with direct seabed presentation particularly highlighted for wolffish. Other stated targets are cod, halibut, saithe, ling, tusk, redfish and squid. Boat fishing at different depths and coastal use are also supported, so the application is not limited to one marine species.
The luminous elements improve the lure's visibility in murky or low-light water. This is relevant in deeper layers when targeting redfish, ling or tusk, where the light effect adds a visual cue to the natural bait presentation.

The Balzer Raichiku Luminous is a sea fishing lure with two freely swinging single hooks for presenting natural bait. The hooks allow fish strips, squid strips or northern prawns (Reker) to move naturally in the water. Its luminous elements improve visibility in murky or low-light water, including deeper layers.
Fish the Raichiku directly on the seabed, particularly when targeting wolffish. It can also be presented at different depths from a boat, and the supplier describes coastal saltwater use as well. The two swinging hooks provide movement for the attached natural bait rather than holding it rigidly in place.
Supported targets include cod, halibut, saithe, wolffish, ling, tusk, redfish and squid. The luminous effect is especially relevant to visibility when fishing deeper water for redfish, ling or tusk.
