It is intended for natural baits and small softbaits. Tie a trout hooklength carrying the bait to the Popper Splash, then retrieve the rig with short twitches after casting. This produces popping sounds that imitate feed hitting the water and are intended to attract trout.
Yes. The supplier also describes use as a pilot float or trout float, so an active popping retrieve is not its only use. No buoyancy rating is supplied, so the stated 1.6 g and 2 g weights should not be treated as supported rig loads.
The 2.2 cm version weighs 1.6 g and comes in UV Gelb-Schwarz, UV Grün, UV Orange and UV Schwarz. The 3 cm version weighs 2 g and comes in UV Grün, UV Orange and UV Schwarz. Choose the shorter, lighter body or the larger, heavier one, then select your colour. The stated fishing method is the same.
The pack contains one Popper Splash pilot float in the selected size and colour. The described setup requires a trout hooklength and bait, which are not listed in the supplied contents.

The Balzer Popper Splash is a buoyant pilot float for active trout fishing with natural baits or small softbaits. Retrieved with short twitches, it produces popping sounds that imitate feed hitting the water and are intended to attract trout to the rig.
Tie a trout hooklength carrying the bait to the Popper Splash. After casting, retrieve the rig with short twitches to create the popping sound. The buoyant body can also be used as a pilot float or a trout float, so its use is not limited to an active popping retrieve.
Choose between 2.2 cm at 1.6 g and 3 cm at 2 g. The smaller version is shorter and lighter, while the larger version adds 0.8 cm and 0.4 g. Both sizes support the same stated fishing method. These figures are product weights, not stated buoyancy ratings.
The 2.2 cm version comes in UV Gelb-Schwarz (yellow-black), UV Grün (green), UV Orange and UV Schwarz (black). The 3 cm version comes in UV Grün, UV Orange and UV Schwarz.
Each pack contains one Popper Splash pilot float in the selected variant.
