You can use soft plastic lures or natural bait such as a worm. Both weights support these bait choices, so select the weight independently of whether you want to fish an artificial or natural bait.
After casting, retrieve the rig slowly with small twitches and pauses. It is intended especially for colder months when trout, including large rainbow trout, hold near the bottom. The sliding bead lets you adjust the hook height for that presentation.
The stated difference is the weight. Both versions have a size 6 hook, 0.45 mm line and adjustable hook height. Choose 3 g for the lighter rig or 5 g for more weight. Each pack contains one rig in your selected weight.

The Balzer Perchman Rig Trout is a ready-made trout rig for fishing soft plastic lures or natural bait near the bottom. A sliding bead lets you adjust the hook height and therefore the bait's position. It is intended especially for the colder months, when trout hold near the bottom, including large rainbow trout.
Use the rig with a soft plastic lure or natural bait such as a worm. After casting, retrieve it slowly with small twitches and pauses. This gives you a stop-and-start presentation rather than a continuous retrieve. Move the bead to change the hook height.
Both versions have a size 6 hook and a line diameter of 0.45 mm. Choose 3 g for the lighter rig or 5 g when you want more weight. The weight is the only stated difference, so bait compatibility and hook-height adjustment remain the same.
Each pack contains one rig in the selected weight.
