Match the line's breaking strain to your target species and casting distance. Use 0.08–0.12 mm (7–10 kg) for trout, perch, and small pike; 0.14–0.21 mm (10–15 kg) for standard pike and zander; and 0.24–0.30 mm (19–34 kg) for heavy pike and dense cover. Thinner diameters cast further and offer better bite detection; thicker lines provide greater abrasion resistance and raw power.
Yellow offers superior visibility for precise sight-casting and visual bite detection in clear to moderately stained water.
