Unlike snap-light floats that get thrown away after a single session, this float runs on a CR 425 / 3V stick battery (not included) with approximately 45 hours of operating life. Switch it on when you start fishing, switch it off when you're done — nothing wasted, nothing replaced until the battery is genuinely spent.
