The Balzer Distance Missile is a patented drop shot (DS) sinker that solves the two biggest frustrations with conventional DS weights: poor casting distance and line damage at the attachment point.

Slide-to-Position Mounting

Thread the leader line down through the sinker, back up again from below, and pull it through a second time to form a loop — then lock it in place with a line stopper. The weight grips the line firmly yet can still be repositioned in seconds, letting you fine-tune the distance between hook and sinker on the spot without retying.

Aerodynamic Shape for Extra Distance

The streamlined missile profile cuts through the air cleanly, adding meaningful metres to every cast. More distance means you can reach holding spots that are out of range with standard barrel or cylinder sinkers — a real advantage on clear, pressured waters where finesse presentations from afar make the difference.
