Work it slowly with a hook and tungsten head near the bottom or just below the surface. For static fishing, its floating TPR body rises above a bottom-probe weight, so you can present it off the lake bed without actively retrieving it.
It is intended for trout and perch, including trout lakes and perch spots around jetties, edges and structures. Soft TPR moves with small twitches or very little current, and the garlic scent provides a separate scent stimulus when presenting the lure slowly to selective fish.
Only the colour changes across the listed variants. Each pack contains six 3 cm, 1.5 g larvae in the selected colour, supplied in a resealable scent box. Size, garlic scent and buoyancy stay the same, so choose the colour without changing those specifications.
The supplier recommends trout hooks in sizes 8 to 12 for the 3 cm larva. With a tungsten head, choose a hook that keeps the body sitting naturally and moving freely, rather than restricting the soft larva.
Close the supplied screw-top scent box after fishing. Its airtight closure helps retain the garlic aroma, keeping the remaining larvae scented for the next session.

The Balzer Bazillus Knoblauch is a floating soft larva with an intense garlic scent for trout and perch. Its soft TPR body moves with small twitches or light current, allowing a slow presentation when fish are feeding selectively. It suits trout lakes, including clear water, and perch fishing around jetties, edges and underwater structures.
For active fishing, use a hook and tungsten head and work the larva slowly near the bottom or just below the surface. For a static presentation, use a bottom-probe weight so the buoyant larva rises above the lake bed. This also allows an off-bottom presentation in deeper water. The body retains natural movement even with very little current, while garlic scent is released continuously.
Trout hooks in sizes 8 to 12 are recommended for the 3 cm body. When using a tungsten head, choose a hook that lets the larva sit naturally without restricting its movement. Saltwater use is also possible according to the supplier, with hook size and weight adapted to the conditions. The stated main uses remain trout and perch fishing.
Every variant is 3 cm long, weighs 1.5 g and contains six larvae in one colour. Choose from Purple Chartreuse, Hot Orange, Motoroil, natur, Hot Craw and Green Pumpkin Amber red. The variants differ in colour, not in the stated size, weight, scent or buoyancy. No colour-specific water conditions or performance differences are specified.
The larvae come in an airtight scent box with a screw closure to help retain the garlic aroma. Close it again after fishing to keep the remaining larvae scented for the next session.
