These are casting rods for baitcasting reels, not the fixed-spool spinning versions of the Veritas series. All seven models are classified as casting rods by the primary supplier, so choose your setup around a baitcasting reel.
Match your lure weight to the rating: 662ML covers 5–21 g at 1.98 m, while the 2.13 m models cover 7–32 g (702M), 10–45 g (702MH) and 14–60 g (702H). All have Extra Fast action. Moving up adds power and a higher lure-weight ceiling but also increases the minimum rated lure weight.
V-Jig 632MH is a compact 1.90 m jig model rated 10–40 g with Extra Fast action. Pela 6311H is also 1.90 m but has Heavy power, a 28–80 g rating and Fast action. Crank722M is 2.18 m with Medium power, 7–35 g and Fast action. Choose by lure weight and action, then check the Pela's longer 163 cm transport length.
The two-section models pack to 103 cm (V-Jig), 107 cm (662ML), 115 cm (702M, 702MH and 702H) or 117 cm (Crank). The Pela has 1+1 sections and a 163 cm transport length, so it needs substantially more storage space. Each model comes in a nylon bag.

The Abu Garcia Veritas LTD casting rods are built for freshwater lure fishing with baitcasting reels. Their sensitive 30T carbon blanks and fast or extra-fast actions provide direct feedback for controlled lure presentation. The range combines a modern finish with lengths from 1.90 to 2.18 m and lure ratings from 5–21 to 28–80 g. Choose by the weight of your lures first, then by power, action and transport format.
662ML: 1.98 m, 5–21 g, Medium Light power and Extra Fast action. This is the lightest-rated option for smaller lures, weighing 125 g.
702M: 2.13 m, 7–32 g, Medium power and Extra Fast action. It offers a higher lure-weight ceiling than the 662ML at 135 g.
702MH: 2.13 m, 10–45 g, Medium Heavy power and Extra Fast action. It accommodates heavier lures than the 702M and weighs 141 g.
702H: 2.13 m, 14–60 g, Heavy power and Extra Fast action. Choose it for the heavier end of the standard casting range. It weighs 148 g and is also described for predator lure fishing from bank or boat.
V-Jig 632MH: 1.90 m, 10–40 g, Medium Heavy power and Extra Fast action. The compact jig model weighs 137 g and is described for jigging for zander and pike from bank or boat.
Pela 6311H: 1.90 m, 28–80 g, Heavy power and Fast action. It has the highest lure rating in the family and weighs 135 g, but its 1+1-section format needs more transport space.
Crank722M: 2.18 m, 7–35 g, Medium power and Fast action. The crank model is the longest option at 137 g, with a less abrupt action than the Extra Fast models.
The shorter 1.90 m models favour compact handling, while the 2.13 and 2.18 m options give more rod length for working a lure. Higher lure ratings also raise the minimum rated lure weight, so the heaviest model is not a substitute for the lightest one.
The 30T carbon blank provides the sensitivity highlighted by the supplier, useful when monitoring lure contact and bites. Every model has ten Seaguide guides including the tip guide to route the line along the blank. High-grade EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) split grips and a comfortable Custom Abu reel seat support handling during active lure fishing.
The 662ML, 702M, 702MH, 702H, V-Jig 632MH and Crank722M have two sections. Their transport lengths are 107 cm, 115 cm, 115 cm, 115 cm, 103 cm and 117 cm respectively. The Pela 6311H is specified as 1+1 sections and packs to 163 cm despite its shorter fishing length. Check that length against your storage or vehicle space. Every model is supplied in a nylon bag.
