Abu Garcia Vendetta V3: sensitive lure control

The Vendetta V3 spinning rods are designed for lure fishing. Freshwater use is specified for all listed models except 703L and 804M, whose supplier records do not state a water type. Responsive 30T Carbon blanks and full carbon reel seats combine low weight, balance and sensitivity for clear lure feedback and controlled retrieves.

Construction and handling

IntraCarbon technology improves blank durability without adding weight. All versions have fast action. High-density EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) split grips provide the contact surfaces for handling the rod. Stainless Steel LS Zirconium guides carry the line along the blank. The rods are black.

Choose your lure rating and length

The 562UL offers Ultra Light power for 2-10 g lures. The Light 702L and 703L cover 3-15 g. The Medium Light 602ML, 702ML, 802ML and 804ML cover 5-20 g. Medium 702M, 802M, 902M, 804M and 904M models are rated 10-30 g. The Medium Heavy 902MH covers 15-40 g, while Heavy 802H and 902H versions take 30-60 g. Match the rating to the lure weight rather than selecting by length alone.

Lengths range from 1.68 to 2.74 m. Within the same lure rating, compare working length and packed size. The 802H is described for zander, pike and large perch with medium to heavy lures. The longer 902H offers added reach and casting distance from the bank or towards distant structures, with heavier softbaits, spoons and plugs. Its EVA grip supports a secure hold in changing weather.

Transport and variant comparison

The two-section versions pack to 89-142 cm. The 703L has three sections and packs to 76 cm. The four-section 804ML and 804M pack to 65 cm, and the 904M to 73 cm. These multi-section versions reduce packed length compared with equivalent two-section models, but require more joints to assemble. Cloth-bag packaging is specified for the two-section models, 804ML and 904M. Guide counts, where supplied, are six for 1.68-2.13 m versions, seven for 2.44 m versions and eight for 2.74 m versions.
