Choose the 2.40 m 7112H for casting 30–100 g softbaits, swimbaits and crankbaits over medium to long distances from the bank or boat. The 1.93 m 642H is the compact jerkbait option for 40–100 g lures, with short impulses and stop-and-go retrieves in confined spots. Both reach 100 g, so choose by presentation and available space as well as lure weight.
Both are baitcasting rods with an ergonomic Custom Abu reel seat. They are intended for freshwater pike lure fishing, so select a baitcasting setup rather than a fixed-spool spinning setup.
Both rods have two sections. The 7112H has a transport length of 124 cm and the 642H packs down to 100 cm. Choose the Jerk model if the shorter packed length is important, while checking that its 40–100 g rating and jerkbait presentation suit your fishing.
Both models combine a strong 30T carbon blank, fast action and Heavy power for direct lure work and the backbone needed when setting hooks and playing pike. The 7112H Cast is 2.40 m long and rated for 30–100 g lures. Its longer blank supports powerful casts over medium to long distances from the bank or boat. Choose it for working large softbaits, swimbaits and crankbaits when casting reach matters more than a compact rod. It weighs 206 g and has 10 guides including the tip.
The 642H Jerk is 1.93 m long and rated for 40–100 g lures. Its compact length suits active jerkbait fishing with short impulses and stop-and-go retrieves. It is easier to work around confined spots, such as lily beds, alongside boats or in polders, where precise lure movements matter more than the longer model's casting reach. It has nine guides including the tip.
Both rods have a 100 g upper lure rating. The 7112H also covers lures from 30 g, whereas the 642H starts at 40 g. Choose by both lure weight and how you want to work it, rather than by the shared Heavy power alone.
Lightweight stainless steel guides provide line guidance and withstand mechanical loading and exposure to moisture. The ergonomic Custom Abu reel seat and high-density EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) split grips support comfortable, controlled casting and lure work.
