The 2500SH retrieves 87 cm per turn with a 6.2:1 ratio, compared with 73 cm and 5.2:1 on the 2500S. Both hold 190 m of 0.15 mm mono and have 5.2 kg maximum drag. Choose the SH for more line pickup per turn, not for extra capacity or drag strength.
The 4000SH has the highest stated retrieve at 98 cm per turn and 7.7 kg maximum drag. The 5000H offers the highest maximum drag at 10.9 kg, but retrieves 91 cm per turn. Choose between faster line pickup and the higher drag limit according to your setup.
You can retrieve with either hand because every model has an LH/RH handle position. The anti-reverse release switch has been removed, so backwinding is not the intended way to give line. Use the front drag to control line release during the fight.
Yes. The supplier describes freshwater and sea use, with Salt Shield™ protected HPCR™ bearings, a water-resistant drag and a double-bearing line roller for thin lines. These support smooth, precise handling, but they do not mean the complete reel is waterproof. Compare each model's mono capacity at your chosen diameter before selecting it.
The 2500S holds 190 m rather than 130 m of 0.15 mm mono, increases maximum drag from 3 to 5.2 kg and retrieves 73 rather than 69 cm per turn. Its supplied weight is 215 g rather than 200 g. Choose it for extra line reserve and drag capacity, or the 2000S for the lower stated weight.

Developed by Abu Garcia's Japanese team, the Revo ALX THETA is a spinning reel for active predator fishing in freshwater and at sea. Its light construction and smooth operation suit repeated casting and retrieving. AMGearing™ with computer-optimized gear design provides the drive, while the Carbon Matrix™ front drag gives fast, precise adjustment when playing fish.
The one-piece Durametal™ body provides strength and rigidity. A C6 carbon rotor and compact bent carbon handle contribute to the light construction. The handle can be fitted on either side, so you can choose left- or right-hand retrieve. Seven stainless-steel HPCR™ bearings with Salt Shield™ protection plus one roller bearing support smooth operation and resistance to salt exposure.
The friction free main shaft design uses an internal bearing to reduce friction and the effort needed to start turning the handle. A one-piece tubular bail and enlarged line roller with two bearings support fine-line handling. These features are relevant to modern methods using very thin lines, where smooth running and precise control matter.
The supplier describes an aluminum spool and a carbon drag resistant to water ingress. A large-diameter bearing supports the spool shaft to improve smoothness and reduce start-up inertia. The anti-reverse release switch has been removed, so the reel is not intended for backwinding. Salt Shield™ bearing protection and a water-resistant drag do not establish that the entire reel is waterproof.

The 2000S is the lighter of the two models with supplied weights and is explicitly offered for perch fishing. The 2500S holds more line at the same 0.15 mm diameter and offers more maximum drag, at an extra 15 g. Choose the 2500SH over the 2500S if you want more line recovered per handle turn without changing the stated capacity or drag limit.
The 3000SH combines the same 5.2 kg drag limit with capacity stated for thicker line and a faster retrieve. The 4000SH increases maximum drag and has the fastest stated retrieve, making it the choice within this family when taking up line quickly is the priority. The 5000H has the highest maximum drag and capacity stated for the thickest line, but retrieves less line per turn than the 4000SH. Choose it for those specifications rather than assuming that the largest model is also the fastest. Capacities at different diameters are not direct measures of which spool holds the most line.
