Choose the PERCH MASTER 722ML for perch with 5–25 g lures. The PIKE MASTER 802XH is built for pike lures up to 150 g. It is longer and more powerful, but weighs 220 g rather than 120 g.
These are casting rods for baitcasting setups. Both have an ergonomic PULS Type reel seat, so choose this family for baitcasting rather than a fixed-spool spinning setup.

The FRANSTRAM casting rods are designed for freshwater lure fishing with baitcasting reels. Tobias Fränstam, a Swedish professional angler, multiple tournament winner and fish biologist, developed the blank designs for perch and pike. Lightweight 30T carbon blanks and extra-fast actions provide a responsive feel when working lures.
The FRANSTRAM PERCH MASTER 722ML is 2.18 m long, rated for 5–25 g and has Medium Light power. At 120 g, it is the lighter option for perch fishing. The FRANSTRAM PIKE MASTER 802XH is 2.44 m long with Extra Heavy power and a maximum lure rating of 150 g. It handles heavier pike lures but weighs 220 g. Both have an extra-fast action, so the main choice is between the lighter perch setup and the longer, more powerful pike model.
Both red rods have ten lightweight Seaguide® XOG stainless-steel guides including the tip. Their anti-tangle design helps reduce line tangles during casting. An ergonomic PULS Type reel seat and a split grip made from synthetic rubber provide secure handling during active lure fishing.
Both rods separate into two sections and are supplied in a rod bag. The perch model packs down to 113 cm, while the pike model needs 124 cm of transport space.
