Choose the 802H for 40–90 g lures and the lowest rod weight, at 191 g. The 842XH covers 30–110 g, including softbaits and large hardbaits. The 862XXH extends to 40–140 g for large softbaits, swimbaits and other heavy lures, but weighs 223 g. Match your lure weight to the individual casting range rather than choosing by model code alone.
These are spinning rods for fixed-spool reels, with a strong, lightweight DPS-type reel seat. Choose a spinning reel setup for these models, not a baitcasting setup. Their stated use is freshwater pike lure fishing.
All three rods separate into two sections. Transport length is 125 cm for the 2.44 m 802H, 131 cm for the 2.54 m 842XH and 134 cm for the 2.59 m 862XXH. Check those packed lengths against your rod storage or vehicle space, as even the shortest model remains 125 cm long when separated.
All use powerful 24T Carbon blanks with Fast action, stainless steel double-leg Anti-Tangle LTS guides and high-density EVA split grips. The blanks are built for large lures and fish, the guides support line handling, and the grips provide a comfortable hold. The Abu Garcia Beast Pike spinning rods are designed for freshwater pike fishing with large lures and fixed-spool reels. Their powerful 24T Carbon blanks are built to cast heavy lures and handle large fish. This is the lowest-priced tier of the Beast pike rod range, below Beast X and Beast Pro.

802H: 2.44 m, 40–90 g casting weight and 191 g rod weight. Rated Heavy, it is the shortest and lightest option in this family, with a 125 cm transport length. Choose it when your pike lures fall within 40–90 g and lower rod weight matters.
842XH: 2.54 m, 30–110 g casting weight and 212 g rod weight. Rated Extra Heavy, it covers the lowest minimum lure weight in this family while extending the upper limit beyond the 802H. It suits softbaits and large hardbaits within that range and packs down to 131 cm.
862XXH: 2.59 m, 40–140 g casting weight and 223 g rod weight. It offers the highest lure-weight ceiling for large softbaits, swimbaits and other heavy artificial lures. The trade-off is the highest rod weight and longest transport length here, at 134 cm.
Strong stainless steel double-leg guides support the line under load. The specified Anti-Tangle LTS guide design helps limit line tangles during casting. A strong, lightweight DPS-type reel seat secures the spinning reel for casting and playing fish.
High-density EVA grips provide a comfortable hold when working large lures and playing pike. The split-grip layout is shared across all three dark brown models. Their two-section construction reduces transport length to 125–134 cm, so compare the individual packed length with your available storage space. Supplier packaging is a cloth bag.
