The Altum™ Trolling Rod range is built for trolling for salmon and other powerful fish. Its light, durable High Strain Composite (HSC) blank provides strength for fighting large fish, with a moderate action across all three versions.
Stainless steel guides with zirconium inserts guide the line. The full EVA grip with rubber shrink covering provides a non-slip hold and is designed for use in rod holders without damaging the handle. A hook keeper holds the hook between fishing sessions. Both 2.13 m versions have eight guides including the tip, a DPS Type reel seat and a carbon-composite blank. They are specified for saltwater use and supplied in a cloth bag.
The 2.13 m 15-25lb version weighs 337 g and covers the lower line-rating range. The 2.13 m 20-40lb version weighs 368 g and extends the upper rating to 40 lb at the same length. The latter is also described for downrigger and planer use. The 2.44 m 15-40lb version combines greater length with the widest line-rating range. These are line ratings, not casting weights.
