Choose 6.8:1 for 68 cm of line per turn, 7.5:1 for 75 cm or 8.3:1 for 83 cm. At the same handle speed, the first retrieves least line and the last retrieves most. Weight, size and capacity are identical, so choose by your preferred retrieve speed.
The supplier recommends 7–80 g casting weight and specifies 123 m capacity with 0.33 mm line for every version. Match your rod and line to the intended lure within that recommendation, rather than treating the reel's casting range as a rod rating.
All three versions have a left-hand retrieve, identified by LH in the supplier model names. Choose between them by gear ratio, not handle side. None of these three variants provides a right-hand retrieve.
Yes. SLIDE magnetic control can be adjusted with your thumb during the cast and used alone or with the six-way Low-Friction centrifugal brake. This lets you change control when casting into or with the wind, or when switching to pitching or flipping, instead of keeping one fixed setting.
An orange Skull Cap Reel Guard is included for storage and transport. The six CZB bearings are corrosion-free, but the supplier still requires regular cleaning and maintenance of the reel, especially after saltwater exposure. Use the guard for protection and continue to follow the manufacturer's care instructions.

The second-generation Concept Z SLD is a left-hand baitcasting reel for predator lure fishing, with a recommended casting weight of 7–80 g. Its SLIDE magnetic cast control can be adjusted with your thumb during a cast to respond to changing wind. Use it independently or together with the Low-Friction centrifugal brake when switching between pitching, flipping and longer casts.
All three versions are size 2, weigh 190 g and hold 123 m of 0.33 mm line. The difference is the gear ratio and line retrieved per handle turn. The 6.8:1 version retrieves 68 cm, giving the slowest retrieve at the same handle speed. The 7.5:1 version retrieves 75 cm and sits between the other two. The 8.3:1 version retrieves 83 cm, taking up line fastest. Choose by the line speed you want, rather than weight or capacity, which remain the same. All versions have the handle on the left, so these options do not offer a right-hand retrieve.
The six-way Low-Friction braking system works alongside SLIDE magnetic control, allowing the two casting brakes to be combined or used separately. This adjustment is useful when alternating casts into and with the wind, or changing casting style without relying on one brake setting for every situation. The Advanced Polymer drag controls line release during a fight, while the Alert Drag Clicker provides an audible indication of drag activity.
The Zero Ball Bearings design uses six corrosion-free CZB bearings and one Dead Stop anti-reverse, rather than conventional ball bearings. The frame and side plates use Hi-Tech Cast Iron Carbon construction. Inside are a Ti-Armor Aluminum Hamai Cut drive gear and a Generation II Hard Anodized Worm Shaft. The Arrowhead Line Guide handles line guidance, and the integrated KeepR hook keeper provides a place to secure the hook between casts. The Beetle Wing Rapid Access side plate gives access to the casting-brake area for adjustment.

Clean it regularly with a soft cloth, especially after saltwater exposure, and follow the manufacturer's lubrication and servicing instructions. Store the reel dry and keep it away from unsupervised children. Corrosion-free CZB bearings do not replace routine care of the complete reel.
