The Iris The Frog is compatible with jig heads, offset hooks and worm hooks. For fishing over heavy cover such as lily pads or weed beds, an offset hook rigged weedless is recommended. For open water or when you need to reach deeper structure, a jig head provides added weight and a different presentation.
Natural Green Frog is a good all-round choice for natural-looking presentations. Fluo Green Frog offers higher visibility in murky water or low-light conditions. Firetiger is a classic attractor pattern that works well in stained water. Redhead provides contrast and is effective when fish respond to bold colour combinations.
The soft rubber legs of the Iris The Frog start moving at very slow retrieve speeds, so a slow, steady retrieve often works well. You can also experiment with pauses and short twitches to imitate a frog swimming across the surface. Vary your speed until you find what triggers strikes on a given day.
