The Savage Gear Cutbait Herring range is built for saltwater fishing for cod, halibut and other large predators. These sinking softbaits combine an Atlantic herring profile, lifelike movement and forged hooks in two heavy-duty sizes for deep-water work.

Real herring profile

The Cutbait Herring is based on Atlantic herring, an important prey fish for large Atlantic predators. The body profile and swimming action are designed to look natural both on the retrieve and on the drop.

Built for big saltwater fish

Savage Gear developed these lures together with experienced Scandinavian saltwater guides. Each variant is fitted with one customised Japanese forged hook and is intended for demanding saltwater fishing.

Two sizes for different presentations

The range covers 20cm / 270g models for fishing around 10-75m and 25cm / 460g models for fishing around 10-100m. That gives you a choice between a slightly lighter presentation and a larger, heavier bait for deeper water.
