The Abu Garcia Beast X2 trolling casting rod series is designed for targeted pike trolling with large lures and planer boards. Across the range, the rods combine strong 30T carbon blanks, a fast taper and slightly softer tips to keep lure presentation controlled while maintaining firm hook-setting power.

Built for pike trolling

These rods are tuned specifically for freshwater trolling for big pike. The actions are fast and direct, with enough cushioning in the tip to absorb surges from large lures, planer boards and rougher conditions on open water.

Robust blank and hardware

All variants use 30T carbon blanks, Seaguide XOG stainless steel anti-tangle guides and an ergonomic reel seat. The full EVA handle is dense and durable, helping the rod sit securely in rod holders without taking damage easily.

Boat-friendly handling

A shortened rear grip gives you more room in the boat and makes rod handling cleaner when multiple lines are out. Each rod also includes a hook keeper for large lure hooks, which is practical when moving between spots.

Choosing the right version
