The Abu Garcia Max X spinning reel range brings design elements from the Zenon and Revo spinning reel families into an accessible freshwater reel. Across the range, the focus is on a compact body, smooth rotation and clean line handling.

Compact and lightweight build

The asymmetric graphite body and rotor help keep the reel light and compact. Abu Garcia also uses a Hybrid V-Rotor system and Hybrid V-Spool design to reduce bulk and lower start-up inertia during the retrieve.

Smooth line handling

A 4+1 bearing system supports smooth operation, while Rocket Line Management and Rocket Spool Lip Design help control how line is laid on the spool and how it leaves the reel on the cast. The machined aluminium spool is braid-ready, so braid can be tied directly to the spool.

Sizes for different freshwater setups

The series runs from size 750 up to 6000. That covers light trout and perch fishing with the smaller models, versatile all-round spinning with the mid sizes, and heavier freshwater predator setups with the larger reels. Depending on size, reel weight ranges from 181g to 388g and max drag from 2.9kg to 9.1kg.

Practical day-to-day features

All variants use a front drag, an aluminium handle with soft-touch knobs and a right or left hand handle setup. This keeps the range easy to match to different rods, techniques and angler preferences.
