The SG4 Swimbait Specialist BC casting rods are designed for freshwater pike fishing with large swimbaits and other heavy lures. Their strong, light and sensitive Japanese Toray-30T carbon blanks use 1DFR tips to support heavy-lure casting, handling and firm hooksets.
All three versions are 2.38 m long with Moderate Fast action. The 50–110 g version weighs 217 g and has Extra Heavy power, making it the lightest rod in the family for lures within that range. The 80–130 g version also has Extra Heavy power and weighs 231 g, extending the upper lure rating to 130 g. The 130–200 g version has Extra Extra Heavy power and weighs 240 g for the heaviest lures in this line. Choose the rating that covers your lure weight rather than treating the heavier versions as substitutes for lighter-lure models.
