It is intended for night fishing for eel. The bright multicolour antenna is visible even at a distance, so you can watch the float in the dark without using a chemical light.
You need one CR 425 / 3V stick battery, which is not included. The stated battery life is approximately 45 hours, so obtain the matching battery separately before using the illuminated float.
Yes. The battery can be switched on at the start of fishing and off afterwards. Unlike a chemical light that keeps glowing, the float's illumination can be stopped between sessions.
The options are 22.5cm / 4g, 24cm / 6g, 25.5cm / 8g and 27.5cm / 10g. A longer version also has a higher supplier-listed weight, while construction and lighting remain the same. The weights are not explicitly stated as buoyancy ratings. You receive one float in your chosen variant, without a battery.

The Balzer Elektro Aalpose is a battery-powered float for night fishing for eel. Its bright multicolour antenna remains easy to see even at a distance, helping you watch the float in the dark.
Switch the battery on at the start of fishing and off afterwards. Unlike a disposable chemical light that continues glowing after the session, the float's light can be switched off between uses. The stated battery life is approximately 45 hours. It requires one CR 425 / 3V stick battery, which is not included, so you need to obtain it separately.
The float has a wooden body with an antenna and stem made from break-resistant fibreglass composite. The very slim antenna offers little resistance when a fish takes the bait, while its bright illumination keeps it visible at night.
Choose from 22.5cm / 4g, 24cm / 6g, 25.5cm / 8g and 27.5cm / 10g. Length and the supplier-listed weight increase together, so the shortest version also has the lowest listed weight and the longest has the highest. These values are listed as weight, not an explicitly stated buoyancy rating. All four versions share the same construction, lighting and battery requirements. Each pack contains one float in the selected variant.
