Use rod jerks to vary the action. Slow jerking produces wide glides, while short jerks create turns of up to 180 degrees. Short successive jerks combined with slow winding let you present its wounded-fish action, and both slow and fast jerking are supported.
Choose 10cm in Real Pike, 12cm in Real Pike, Silver Chartreuse Shad, Barred Muskie or Holo Smelt, or 14cm in Real Pike, Silver Chartreuse Shad or red Perch. Length changes the baitfish profile you present. Select a finish available in your chosen size, without assuming a stated clear-water or murky-water preference.
The three listed 14cm variants weigh 50g and have a stated running depth of 1m, giving you a concrete lure weight for checking tackle compatibility. No lure weight or running depth is supplied for the listed 10cm or 12cm variants, so do not carry the 14cm specifications over to those sizes.
No. Every listed variant is Sinking, so it sinks when not being retrieved rather than holding its position like a suspending lure. Account for this behaviour when pausing the retrieve. The supplier does not specify a sink rate.

The Salmo Sweeper Sinking is a sinking glider-style jerkbait for active predator fishing, particularly pike. Its shaped, balanced body produces wide sideways glides and turns of up to 180 degrees with relatively little effort from the angler. A side shimmy during these movements imitates a weak or wounded prey fish. Supplier information also identifies zander and perch as target species.
Slow jerking produces wide glides, while short jerks make the lure turn sharply. It can be worked slowly or quickly. Short successive jerks combined with slow winding create its distinctive action. The rear polycarbonate wings act as stabilising fins, helping maintain a stable run as the lure flashes its sides. For smaller Sweeper models, the supplier notes that a jerkbait rod that is not too stiff works well. All variants sink rather than float or suspend.
This selection contains eight variants. The 10cm version comes in Real Pike. The 12cm version is available in Real Pike, Silver Chartreuse Shad, Barred Muskie and Holo Smelt. The 14cm version comes in Real Pike, Silver Chartreuse Shad and red Perch. Choose the length for the baitfish profile you want to present, then select the finish within that size. No finish-specific water or light conditions are stated.
All three listed 14cm variants have a supported lure weight of 50g and a stated running depth of 1m. These are useful specifications when matching the lure to your tackle and intended presentation. Lure weights and running depths are not supplied for the listed 10cm and 12cm variants. The 12cm and 14cm supplier listings specify one lure in the selected finish. The wider Sweeper range includes natural finishes using True Image Technology or Holographic Feature Technology, as well as fluorescent patterns.
The body uses Salmo High Density Space-Aged Foam (HDSF). Through-wire construction, welded at both ends, provides a continuous internal wire structure. Each lure is individually hand-tuned and tank-tested to check its action. Rasco split rings are made in the USA, and the lure is made in Poland. Sweeper has been part of the Salmo range since 2010.
The supplier warns that this lure may contain chemicals such as lead or cadmium, and prolonged exposure can be harmful. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Avoid ingestion and contact with food.
