The FTM Omura Baits Pongo is a purpose-built softbait (soft plastic lure) for spin fishing targeting trout in stocked ponds, trout lakes, and streams. At 6.5 cm and 3.2 g, it sits in a versatile weight class that loads light jig heads cleanly and casts well on finesse spinning setups.
The Pongo's ribbed, groove-shaped body displaces water with every twitch or slow pull, generating a tight, high-frequency vibration that trout key in on even in pressured water. Because the action fires up with minimal rod input, it performs equally well on a straight slow retrieve or a subtle lift-and-drop presentation — no aggressive jigging required.
The Pongo is moulded from a soft rubber compound that flexes naturally around a hook and releases attractant scent in the water column.
