The Spro Matt Black Leader delivers a purpose-built 1x19 steel wire leader in a matte black finish that virtually disappears underwater, giving cautious pike no reason to turn away.
Every component — wire, swivel, and snap — is finished in a non-reflective matte black. Sunlight passing through the water column finds nothing to glint off, so even wary, pressured pike are less likely to shy away from your lure at the critical last moment.
The 1x19 (nineteen-strand) steel construction is highly resistant to the razor-sharp teeth of pike. A solid barrel swivel is knotted to the main line end, while the opposite snap allows fast lure changes — spinners, spoons, crankbaits, and soft plastics all clip in securely. The hardware is rated to handle hard takes and extended fights without failure.
All variants share the same 1x19 matte black steel construction and come in packs of 2. Choose length and breaking strength to match your lure size and target conditions:
