The Spiderwire Stealth Smooth 12 in Translucent delivers a tightly woven, 12-carrier PE (polyethylene) braid that combines outstanding sensitivity with a whisper-quiet run through the guides — ideal for lure fishing in both fresh and saltwater.
Twelve tightly interwoven PE fibres create a dense, round cross-section that sits evenly on the spool and flows cleanly through rod rings. The result is reduced line noise, less vibration, and noticeably longer, more accurate casts compared to coarser 8-carrier braids.
At 0.19 mm with an 18 kg breaking strain, this line offers an excellent strength-to-diameter ratio that lets you pack more line onto the spool or downsize to a lighter reel without sacrificing pulling power. The high knot strength means connections to leaders and lures hold reliably under repeated stress.
