Bullhead Floating 4.5cm Hot Bullhead
incl. VAT, excl.
The Salmo Bullhead has earned its reputation as one of the finest sculpin imitations ever crafted. Hand-made in Poland and tank-tested before shipping, this 4.5cm floating crankbait delivers irresistible action that triggers strikes from brown trout, perch, chub, and other predators in rivers and lakes alike.
Every detail mimics the profile and movement of a live sculpin. The combination of lifelike shape, carefully chosen color patterns, and natural swimming action makes the Bullhead virtually impossible for trophy fish to ignore. Originally designed to tempt large brown trout, it has proven equally deadly on a wide range of predatory species.
Constructed from Salmo's proprietary High Density Space-Aged Foam (HDSF) with thru-wire construction welded at both ends, the Bullhead withstands repeated strikes and snags that would destroy lesser lures. The polycarbonate lip ensures consistent depth and wobble, while USA-made Rasco split rings provide secure hook connections. Each lure is individually hand-tuned to swim perfectly straight from the box.
The Bullhead family offers multiple sizes and running depths to match your target water and species:
Bullhead Floating 4.5cm (this model) — 3g, 0.5–1m depth, ideal for shallow streams, small rivers, and targeting trout, perch, and chub in 1–2m of water
Bullhead Floating 6cm — 6g, 1–1.5m depth, suited for larger rivers, deeper pools, and bigger predators
Color options include natural Bullhead pattern and fluorescent Hot Bullhead (this variant) for low-light or stained water conditions
